SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Madelynn Nicole "Maddy" McInerney of
4Libertyville, who passed away on November 25, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney was born to F. Dave and Leigh
6Anne (Dietrich) McInerney on February 26, 1999; she was a
7junior at Libertyville High School, where she was active with
8choir and involved in cheerleading and with the bowling team;
9and
 
10    WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney participated in various cancer
11organization fundraisers; she worked with the St. Balderick's
12Foundation for Childhood Cancer in sixth and eighth grade and
13was a spokesperson for the local fundraiser in 2016; she was
14the Courage winner for Voices Against Brain Cancer in 2015 and
15honored for her bravery in 2016 at the inaugural BrainUp
16Chicago 5K Run/Walk in Chicago; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney was preceded in death by her
18grandfather, Poppy Frank McInerney, and her aunt, Nicole Besch;
19and
 
20    WHEREAS, Madelynn McInerney is survived by her parents; her
21sister, Anya; her brothers, Jordan and John McInerney; her

1brother, Zachary Dietrich; her grandparents, Lee and Willa
2Dietrich; her grandmother and godmother, Rebecca Spring, and
3Anya (Chris) Sutton; her uncle, Phil Dietrich; and her cousins,
4Chloe and Olivia Sutton; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Madelynn Nicole "Maddy" McInerney, and extend our sincere
8condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved
9her; and be it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Madelynn McInerney as an expression
12of our deepest sympathy.
