SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Orland Eugene "Gene" Rubemeyer, who
4passed away on October 25, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was born in Alton to Earl
6Rubemeyer and Lorene (Buttrey) Cauley on August 10, 1942; he
7married Cathy Bellm in Carlinville on March 14, 1987; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer served as a Lieutenant for the
9Macoupin County Sheriff's Department and the State of Illinois;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was a member of the Knights of
12Columbus where he served on the Honor Guard; he was also a
13member of Ss. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Carlinville;
14and
 
15    WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer was preceded in death by his
16parents and one sister, Toni Schmitz; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Orland Rubemeyer is survived by his wife, Cathy;
18his children, Jerry (Lois) Rubemeyer, Teri (Ron) Archibald,
19Beth (Dan) Mathis, Lori (Kyle) Witte, Craig (Melanie)
20Rubemeyer; his grandchildren, Patricia (Adam) Newell, Jerry

1Wayne (Tiffany) Rubemeyer, Kevin Rubemeyer, Michael (Krisha)
2Archibald, Zachary, Lauren, Emma, and Lillie Mathis, Ryan,
3Haeleigh, Dax Witte, Dustin, Olivia, and Mariska Rubemeyer; his
4siblings, Mona (Randy) Carlton, Dixie Bush, Rubert "Lucky"
5Cauley (girlfriend, Rachel Dahms), Lavern (Palmer) Laswell,
6Mary (Ray) Welch; and several nieces and nephews, four great
7grandchildren and his grand-dog, Banks; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
10family and friends, mourn the passing of Orland Eugene "Gene"
11Rubemeyer, and extend our sincere condolences to his family,
12friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Orland Rubemeyer as an expression of
15our deepest sympathy.
