SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edna C. "Katie" Gruber of Joliet, who
4passed away on November 20, 2016, at the of 88; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edna Gruber was employed by the Joliet Herald News
6and Fredricks Bindery; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Edna Gruber loved going to church and being with
8family; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Edna Gruber was preceded in death by her husband,
10Alexander "Sonny" Gruber; her infant son, David; her son,
11Timothy J. Gruber; her parents, Edward, and Pearl Madden; her
12brothers, John, and Edward "Ned" Madden; and her sister, Mary
13"Lorraine" Dirker; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Edna Gruber is survived by her son, Terrence A.
15(Jeanine) Gruber; her daughter, Cathy (John) DiGiovanni; her
16sisters, Bernadine (Al) Palmer, Nora (Henry) Errek, Patricia
17(Robert) Taylor, and Jule (Richard) Arambasich; her
18grandchildren, T.J. (Sue) Gruber, Christopher (Stefanie)
19Gruber, Katie (Will) Napier, Cassie (Michael) Pouk, and John
20(Katie) and Alexis DiGiovanni; her great-grandchildren, A.J.,
21Benjamin, and Abigail Gruber, Emma and Talen Napier, Reese and

1Blaire Gruber, Harlow Pouk, and Sarah DiGiovanni; her
2daughter-in-law, Andrea Gruber; as well as numerous nieces,
3nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Edna C. "Katie" Gruber, and extend our sincere condolences to
7her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Edna Gruber as an expression of our
11deepest sympathy.
