SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard J. Mader, who passed away on July
425, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Mader was born on July 8, 1947 in Chicago;
6his parents were Joe and Margaret Mary Mader; he married Mary
7Margaret Cousley on August 16, 1969 in Alton; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Richard Mader was a graduate of Western Illinois
9University and a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Mader taught at Ss. Peter and Paul School
12before joining the family business at the Alton Telegraph in
13the circulation department; after retiring from the newspaper
14business, he returned to teaching in the Alton School District
15as a substitute teacher and a teacher's aide; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Richard Mader was preceded in death by his
17parents; his wife, Mary; and his sister, Judy Piepenbrink; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Richard Mader is survived by his sons, Matt
19(Jessica) Mader and Drew (Hope) Mader; his grandchildren,
20Finley, Riley, and Wren Mader; and his sister, Sue Moirano;

1therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
4family and friends, mourn the passing of Richard J. Mader; and
5be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Richard Mader as an expression of
8our sympathy.
