SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of E. Clyde Foster of Monticello, who passed
4away on July 24, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster was born on August 29, 1929 in
6Weldon; his parents were Denny William and Clotha Ann Foster;
7he married Mary Jane "Pete" Dillow on August 20, 1955 in
8Clinton; and
 
9    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster retired as the Piatt County
10Treasurer after 32 years of service; he also served in the
11United States Army Special Services; and
 
12    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster was a member of the DeLand
13Christian Church; he was a lifetime member of Hamm-Burke
14American Legion Post 101 and Piatt County Veterans of Foreign
15Wars Post 5346 and served in the Military Honor Guard; he was a
16Democratic precinct committeeman and a charter member of the
17Jaycees and the Young Democrats of Piatt County; he was also a
18lifetime member of the Diehard Cubs Fan Club; and
 
19    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster was involved in Boy Scouts and was
20a Little League baseball commissioner and a baseball coach for
21over 30 years; he was also a member of the 1960 General Cable

1State Champion Fast-Pitch Softball Team; and
 
2    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster proudly donated over 32 gallons of
3blood in his lifetime; and
 
4    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster was preceded in death by his
5parents; six brothers; and five sisters; and
 
6    WHEREAS, E. Clyde Foster is survived by his wife, Mary Jane
7"Pete" Foster; his children, Arnie (Rhonda) Foster, Lori (Dave)
8Spicer, and Barry (Jan) Foster; nine grandchildren; and eight
9great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
12family and friends, mourn the passing of E. Clyde Foster; and
13be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of E. Clyde Foster as an expression of
16our sympathy.
