SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward D. Bohne of Alton, who passed away
4on June 16, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Bohne was born in Springfield to Edward H.
6and Virginia (Strand) Bohne on May 27, 1956; he married
7Christine M. Gillespie in Quincy on December 23, 1978; he
8earned his law degree from Washington University in St. Louis,
9Missouri; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Edward Bohne retired in 1999 as a Major with the
11United States Army Reserve after over 25 years of service; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Edward Bohne was a member of St. Mary's Catholic
13Church in Alton and the United States Armor Association
14Honorable Order of St. George; he was also a member of the U.S.
15Army Brotherhood of Tankers and the Single Action Shooting
16Society; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Edward Bohne was preceded in death by his parents;
18and
 
19    WHEREAS, Edward Bohne is survived by his wife, Christine;
20his daughters, Amanda M. Bohne and Rebecca A. Kessler and her

1husband, Daniel; and his granddaughter, Margaret Kathryn
2Kessler; therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Edward D. Bohne, and extend our sincere condolences to his
6family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Edward Bohne as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
