SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Edward Royce "Fast Eddie" Sholar of
4Alton, who passed away on July 22, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Edward Sholar was born on August 16, 1953 at Scott
6Air Force Base Hospital in St. Clair County; his parents were
7Dexter Atwood Sholar and Norma Lee (nee Schelle) Sholar; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Edward Sholar graduated from Alton High School in
91971; he owned and operated numerous businesses until his
10retirement in 2008; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Edward Sholar was preceded in death by his mother;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Edward Sholar is survived by his father; his
14children, Amy Sholar, Edward "Eddie" Sholar, Jr., Maggie
15Sholar, Katherine (Chris) Wilson and their mother, Sarah Farley
16Woodman, and Danielle (Mick) McCahill and her mother, Breda
17Laplante; his grandchildren, Sadie and Joe Lupercio, Abigail
18Sholar, Sarah, Charles, and Grace Sholar, Emma and Trent
19Wilson, and Mazy McCahill; his brothers, Michael "Elwood"
20Sholar, Richard "Hawk" Sholar, and John (Shannon) Sholar; his
21sisters, Katherine "Kat" (Mike) Brunaugh, Sandra "Sam"

1Rynders, and Rhonda (Paul) Elmendorf; his many nieces, nephews,
2and extended family members; and his former wife, Tina Siemer;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of Edward Royce "Fast
7Eddie" Sholar; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Edward Sholar as an expression of
10our sympathy.
