SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene "Gene" Vincent Roth, who passed
4away on September 11, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Roth was born August 4, 1933 in Michael;
6his parents were Anthony and Katherine Roth; he married Laverne
7Pohlman on June 2, 1953 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in
8Brussels; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eugene Roth served his country as a member of the
10United States Army; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Following his stint in the Army, Eugene Roth
12worked as a machinist for Olin Matheson until his retirement in
131975; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Eugene Roth was a longtime member of St. Ambrose
15Catholic Church in Godfrey and the Alton-Wood River Sportsman's
16Club; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Eugene Roth was preceded in death by his wife,
18Laverne; his parents; his stepfather, Carl Snyders; his sister,
19Edna Roth; and his brother, Bill Roth; and

1    WHEREAS, Eugene Roth is survived by his sons and
2daughters-in-law, Bob and Cindy Roth and Tom and Jennifer Roth;
3his daughters and sons-in-law, Vicky and Dan Bolin, Deb and
4Jack Hoefert, and Terry and Dave Stephan; his grandchildren and
5their spouses, Chris and Andrea Roth, Greg and Jessica Roth,
6Katie and Mike Dohr, Shelby Roth and Jake Roth, David and Amy
7Bolin, Michelle and Kenny Jamison, Chris Hoefert, Laura Hoefert
8(fiance, Jason Sandidge), Sarah Hoefert, Matt Stephan, and
9Molly Stephan; his great-grandchildren, Samantha, David, Jr.,
10and Jonathan Bolin, KJ and Valerie Jamison, Ella and Alana
11Roth, Andrew, Tyler, and Caden Roth, and Brady, Alex, and
12Robert Dohr; and his sister-in-law, Edna Roth; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
15family and friends, mourn the passing of Eugene "Gene" Vincent
16Roth; and be it further
 
17    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
18presented to the family of Eugene Roth as an expression of our
19sympathy.
