SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Lonnie "Lon" Weaver, who passed away on
4August 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver was born in Wood River on December
614, 1953 to J. Glenn and Helen M. (nee Drainer) Weaver; he
7married Michele Rook on March 22, 1975 in Rosewood Heights; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver practiced law in the Riverbend area
9for 34 years; he was a volunteer firefighter for the Holiday
10Shores Fire Department and the Rosewood Heights Fire Department
11for over 25 years; he was a past school board member for the
12Roxana School District; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver was a former member of the Bethalto
14Knights of Columbus; he was a member of the Madison County Bar
15Association, Duck's Unlimited, and Migratory Water Fowl
16Incorporated; he was a season ticket holder for the St. Louis
17Cardinals for 25 years and enjoyed hunting and fishing; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver was preceded in death by his mother,
19Helen Weaver, and his stepmother, Jeanine Haselhorst Weaver;

1    WHEREAS, Lonnie Weaver is survived by his wife, Michele;
2his father, J. Glenn Weaver; his 2 sons and daughters-in-law,
3Joe and Val Weaver and Luke and Kourtney Weaver; his 7
4grandchildren, Carsyn, Jackson, Yale, Evi, Greyer, Loch, and
5Rowdy; his 3 sisters and 2 brothers-in-law, Nancee and Kelly
6Bury, Anna and Max Ellis, and Dee Sido; his 3 brothers and
7sisters-in-law, Dan and Debi Weaver, Chris and Marianne Weaver,
8and Claude and Tammy Weaver; his father-in-law and
9mother-in-law, David and Ginger Rook; his brother-in-law and
10sister-in-law, Joe and Lisa Rook; his sister-in-law and
11brother-in-law, Melissa and Bob Perica; his special aunt, Joyce
12Kirby; his uncle and aunt, Dick and Marilyn Karns; and several
13nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and other
14extended family and friends; therefore, be it
 
15    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
16ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
17Lonnie "Lon" Weaver, and extend our sincere condolences to his
18family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
19further
 
20    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
21presented to the family of Lonnie Weaver as an expression of
22our deepest sympathy.
