SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Marvin E. Mallory, who passed away on
4July 2, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Marvin Mallory was born on September 28, 1928 in
6Novinger, Missouri; his parents were Orville and Crystal (nee
7Ellsworth) Mallory; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Marvin Mallory was a member of the First Baptist
9Church of Wood River and the Wood River Optimist Club; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Marvin Mallory was the founder of M.E. Mallory
11Construction in 1950; he and his son David were the founders of
12Mallory Sports in Wood River in 1976; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Marvin Mallory enjoyed softball, golf, fishing,
14boating, water skiing, southern gospel and country music, and
15square dancing; he was involved in several clubs and had served
16as President of the Greater St. Louis League of Square Dance
17Clubs; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Marvin Mallory was preceded in death by his
19parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Marvin Mallory is survived by Lois Whitworth
2Mallory; his former wife, Helen Mallory Powell; 3 sons, David
3(Karen) Mallory, Don Mallory, and Doug (Janie) Mallory; 6
4grandchildren, Brian Mallory, Kim Hasenjaeger, Kelly Mallory,
5Kevin Mallory, Christi Norris, and Renee Galbraith; and 4
6great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Marvin Mallory; and be
10it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Marvin E. Mallory as an expression
13of our sympathy.
