2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to |
3 | | learn of the death of James Paul Meisenheimer of Bunker Hill, |
4 | | who passed away on May 31, 2015; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer was born in Alton on August 15, |
6 | | 1925 to Julius and Nellie (nee Braden)
Meisenheimer; he served |
7 | | in the United States Army during World War II and married |
8 | | Gladys M. Wood on August 3, 1950 in Carlinville; and
|
9 | | WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer worked for Alton Boxboard for |
10 | | 43 years; he worked for Meisenheimer Trucking and Excavating |
11 | | since 1963 and also did drain cleaning; he dug the graves at |
12 | | the
local Bunker Hill area cemeteries since 1968; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer raised horses and took them to |
14 | | the Illinois State Fair; he took great
pride and joy in |
15 | | watching his grandchildren and great-grandchildren play |
16 | | sports; he enjoyed fishing with his
grandkids and taking them |
17 | | swimming at his brother Earl's pond; he was a St. Louis |
18 | | Cardinal baseball fan; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer was preceded in death by his |
20 | | parents; his son, Tom Meisenheimer; his granddaughter, Brandy |
21 | | Hanner; his great-granddaughter,
Evelynn Grace Santel; and his |

1 | | brother, Bob Meisenheimer; and

2 | | WHEREAS, James Meisenheimer is survived by his wife, |
3 | | Gladys; his son, Jim (Janice) Meisenheimer; his daughters, |
4 | | Peggy Bennett and Christy Santel; his grandchildren, Deidre
|
5 | | (Joe) Charles, Jimmy (Moriah) Meisenheimer, Andrea (Josh) |
6 | | Kohring, Tommy (Meghan) Santel, JR (fiancee Nicki) Santel, Nick |
7 | | (companion Gina) Santel, and Steve (Shannon) Clemonds; his |
8 | | great-grandchildren,
Kendall Meisenheimer, Colleen |
9 | | Meisenheimer, Jacob Kohring, Lauren Kohring, Eva Kohring, |
10 | | Logan
Santel, Tyler Santel, Zoey Santel, and Christian Howell; |
11 | | his brothers, Earl Meisenheimer and Kenny (Betty)

14 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL |
15 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of |
16 | | James Paul Meisenheimer, and extend our sincere condolences to |
17 | | his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it |
18 | | further

19 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be |
20 | | presented to the family of James Meisenheimer as an expression |
21 | | of our deepest sympathy.
