SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Paul Schlueter of Edwardsville, who
4passed away on May 12, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Paul Schlueter was born on November 21, 1930 in
6Edwardsville; his parents were Carl and Frances Nekola
7Schlueter; he married Virginia Spugnardo on July 10, 1954 in
8Hartford, Connecticut; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Paul Schlueter served in the United States Coast
10Guard from 1951 to 1954 during the Korean Conflict; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Paul Schlueter graduated from Washington
12University in 1968; he worked as a chief design engineer for
13Airtherm Manufacturing of St. Louis for 40 years until his
14retirement in 1995; he also operated Schlueter Residential
15Heating and Cooling in Edwardsville and worked at Granite City
16Steel for 3 1/2 years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Paul Schlueter was a past president and member of
18the Edwardsville Lions Club; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Paul Schlueter was preceded in death by his
20parents; and

1    WHEREAS, Paul Schlueter is survived by his wife, Virginia;
25 sons, Michael Schlueter, David (Mary) Schlueter, Andrew
3(Gloria) Schlueter, Paul (Heather) Schlueter, and Vincent
4(Jan) Schlueter; a daughter, Angela (Thomas) Mahoney; and 15
5grandchildren; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
8family and friends, mourn the passing of Paul Schlueter; and be
9it further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Paul Schlueter as an expression of
12our sympathy.
