SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eve Cordrey of McHenry, who passed away
4on December 12, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey was born on January 20, 1932 in
6Holton, Michigan; her parents were Murel Vere and Mildred Ann
7(nee Bunce) Church; she married Jerry R. Cordrey on August 21,
81954 in Angola, Indiana; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey was a resident of McHenry since 1970;
10she attended the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan;
11and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey taught second grade in western
13Michigan before marrying and starting a family; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal
15Church in McHenry; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey enjoyed boating on the river and
17spending time with her family and friends; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey was preceded in death by her husband,
19Jerry; her son, Eric Howard Cordrey; 2 brothers, Norm and Bill;

12 sisters, Bernice and Phyllis; and her parents; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Eve Cordrey is survived by 3 children, Timothy
3(Judy) Cordrey, Denise Koch, and Carole (Rodney) Ackerman; 7
4grandchildren, Rachel, Jeremy (Leanna), and Katie Cordrey,
5Bridget (Adam) Nelson, Callie (Ryan) Tessema, Nathan Koch, and
6Lucas Ackerman; 9 great-grandchildren, Josie, Sophie, Grey,
7Cole, Alyssa, Tyson, Jennifer, Christina, and Elliot; and a
8brother, John Church; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Eve Cordrey; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Eve Cordrey as an expression of our
15sympathy.
