SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Annie Lee Ware, who passed away on
4January 18, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Annie Ware was born in Lovejoy on April 24, 1922
6to Isom and Mollie McCoy; she attended Lovejoy School and was a
7member of Union Baptist Church; she married Hardy Ware, Sr. on
8July 24, 1943; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Annie Ware was active with the parent-teachers
10association, the neighborhood watch, and the Belles Club; and
 
11    WHEREAS, In 1966, Annie Ware and her family relocated to
12East St. Louis; she joined Southern Mission Missionary Baptist
13Church in 1974; she volunteered for the elementary school lunch
14program, the neighborhood watch, the Salvation Army Women's
15League, the women's ministry, and Church Women United, and she
16was a member of the Grand Court Order of Calanthe; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Annie Ware is survived by her 6 children, Hardy
18Ware, Jr., Harriette Ware, Marvin Ware (Angela), Anthony Ware
19(Charyl), Regina Day (Donald), and Nathan Ware (Regina); her
20sister, Audrey Rivers; her 11 grandchildren; her 5
21great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other

1relatives, and friends; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
4Annie Lee Ware, and extend our sincere condolences to her
5family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
6further
 
7    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
8presented to the family of Annie Ware as an expression of our
9deepest sympathy.
