SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Anna Regina Droste, who passed away on
4March 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Anna Droste was born on May 6, 1925 in North
6Alton; her parents were Joseph and Josepha Boucher; she met the
7love of her life, Benjamin Theodore Droste, through the local
8farm and church community; they were married on August 16, 1945
9at St. Mary's Church in Alton; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Anna Droste enjoyed reading, helping her dad with
11chores, and spending time outside, especially in the fall; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Anna Droste and her husband wrote a book, "As I
13Recall", as a way to share their memories and experiences; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Anna Droste was preceded in death by her husband,
15Benjamin; her parents; a son, Alan; 2 grandsons, Nicholas
16Droste and Eric Droste; and 7 siblings, Bernadine Masulla,
17Joseph Boucher, Louis Boucher, Bernice Sumowski, Loretta
18Mueller, Sister Alvina, OSF, and Sister Cecilia, OSF; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Anna Droste is survived by 16 children, Ann
20Droste, Judy Boss (companion, Donald Ornellas), Theresa (Bob)

9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
11family and friends, mourn the passing of Anna Regina Droste;
12and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Anna Droste as an expression of our
15sympathy.
