SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ned H. Wuellner of Brighton, who passed
4away on February 23, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was born in Alton on June 30, 1927 to
6Henry A. and Ann (nee Snyder) Wuellner; he graduated from
7Northwestern University with a master's degree in mechanical
8engineering; he married Rosemary Rowe on July 15, 1953 in
9Muskegon, Michigan; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was a sheet metal contractor and
11owned Canham Sheet Metal for 35 years, retiring in 1991; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was a member of the Knights of
13Columbus, where he held a 4th Degree; he was also a member of
14the Triangle Fraternity and Sigma Xi; he was a member of St.
15Mary's Catholic Church in Alton; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner was preceded in death by his parents
17and his 4 brothers and 2 sisters-in-law, Guy S., Bert J., Roy
18J. and Betty, and James A. and Dorothy Wuellner; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Ned Wuellner is survived by his wife, Rosemary;
20his 8 children and their spouses, Ann and John Venardos, Franz

1and Debbie Wuellner, Rolf and Michele Wuellner, Leah and Matt
2Ursch, Sara and Dennis Moore, Ruth and Marty Frey, Hope and Dan
3Brooks, and Jed and Rachelle Wuellner; his brother, Mark A. and
4Marjorie Wuellner; his 2 sisters-in-law, Elise Wuellner and
5Dorothy Wuellner; his 16 grandchildren, Peter and Alex
6Venardos, Blaze and Mallory Wuellner, Justin and Josh Traff,
7Austen Wuellner, Taylor, Hannah, and Morgan Moore, Abraham and
8Chloe Frey, Derek and Audrey Brooks, and Tristan and Nathaniel
9Wuellner; and his 2 great-grandchildren, with one on the way;
10therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
13Ned H. Wuellner, and extend our sincere condolences to his
14family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
15further
 
16    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
17presented to the family of Ned Wuellner as an expression of our
18deepest sympathy.
