SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dianne S. Seymour, who passed away on
4February 21, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dianne Seymour was born on January 16, 1955 to
6Virginia and Norman Holt and grew up in Waukegan; she graduated
7from Waukegan High School and the College of Lake County
8nursing program; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Dianne Seymour worked as a nurse and then worked
10on the Abbott Laboratories Clinical Research Team; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Dianne Seymour enjoyed playing softball and
12volleyball for many years, and loved being active with her
13children; she also enjoyed taking her family on Disney
14vacations and traveling to Arizona with her cousins and best
15friend; she spent countless hours at school programs and
16sporting events; she was a loyal Chicago White Sox fan and a
17Green Bay Packers season ticket holder; she was an animal lover
18and dog whisperer and loved fostering rescue dogs while they
19waited for forever homes; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dianne Seymour was preceded in death by her
21parents; her brother, Larry Holt; her ex-husband and dear

1friend, Kevin Seymour; her brother-in-law, Doug Seymour; her
2sister-in-law, Karen Seymour; her dear aunt, Reva Holt; and her
3deeply missed dog, Murray; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Dianne Seymour is survived by her children, Angela
5(Ramon) Moreno and Brian Seymour; her grandchildren, Maya
6Dianne, Evan Del, and Joel Vincent; her Uncle Bill (Jane)
7Dowden and Aunt Betty (Bill) Potochnik; her cousins, Doug
8(Iris) Dowden, Linda (Brian) Dowden, Rob (Cheryl) Potochnik,
9and Rick (Kathy) Potochnik; her in-laws, Lois Wilson, Steve
10(Sue) Seymour, and Michael Seymour; her nephew, Steve Seymour
11and niece, Kelly Seymour; many other nieces and nephews; her
12best friend, Trudy Gomez; a host of other dear friends; and her
13best boys, her dogs, Sonny and Norman; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
15ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
16Dianne S. Seymour, and extend our sincere condolences to her
17family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
18further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Dianne Seymour as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
