SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis Castellaneta of Westchester,
4formerly of Oak Park, who passed away on August 15, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Castellaneta grew up in Milwaukee,
6Wisconsin and graduated from Proviso High School (now Proviso
7East High School) in Maywood; he served as a corpsman in the
8United States Navy during World War II in Japan; he married
9Elsie Lagorio; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Louis Castellaneta worked as a lithographer for RR
11Donnelley before and after World War II; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Louis Castellaneta was an animal lover, a painter,
13and a member of the Oak Park Art League; he taught senior
14exercise classes at the West Cook YMCA in Oak Park in the
151980s; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Louis Castellaneta was preceded in death by his
17wife, Elsie; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Louis Castellaneta is survived by his son, Dan;
19his daughters, Gina Castellaneta and Paula (Peter) Pohlhammer;
202 grandsons; and a great-granddaughter; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-NINTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Louis Castellaneta, and extend our sincere condolences to his
4family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Louis Castellaneta as an expression
8of our deepest sympathy.
