SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
520 ILCS 5/3.2b new

    Amends the Wildlife Code. Provides that group hunting licenses may be issued for groups of up to 6 individuals. Provides that each individual member of the group must sign his or her own application and possess a valid hunting license. Provides that all members must have preference for the same county choice or special hunt area choice, hunting season, species, and taking method and that group applications shall be rejected if the applications do not list identical choices. Provides that residents shall be given preference for group hunting licenses and groups containing residents and non-residents shall be treated as non-residents. Permits any tag acquired by an individual group member may be used by any member of the group. Provides that the Department of Natural Resources shall set the group hunting license fee by rule and that providing false information on an application is a Class A misdemeanor.

1    AN ACT concerning wildlife.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Wildlife Code is amended by adding Section
53.2b as follows:
 
6    (520 ILCS 5/3.2b new)
7    Sec. 3.2b. Group hunting licenses.
8    (a) Up to 6 individuals may apply to hunt as a group.
9    (b) Each individual must sign his or her own application
10and possess a valid hunting license.
11    (c) In order to receive preference for the group, all
12members must have preference for the same county choice or
13special hunt area choice, hunting season, species, and taking
14method. If any member does not have preference for the group's
15choice, the entire group shall not receive preference.
16    (d) Applicants applying as a group shall be rejected if
17they do not list the same selections as listed in subsection
18(c) of this Section, complete the group leader information
19listing the identical group leader, and complete the
20second-season option box identically.
21    (e) Residents shall be given preference for group hunting
22licenses and groups containing residents and non-residents
23shall be treated as non-residents.
