HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Julie Ann
4Alexander of Jerseyville, who passed away on May 14, 2016; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Julie Alexander was born in Alton to Donald J. and
6Dorothy V. (Hogle) Calvey on August 23, 1965; she married Larry
7J. Alexander in Jerseyville on June 24, 1989; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Julie Alexander worked as Activity Director at VIP
9Manor in Wood River; she later worked as the Activity Director
10at Jerseyville Manor; after having children, she opened up her
11home as a daycare with the assistance of her mother; once her
12daughters began elementary school, she started working at
13Strang & Parish, Ltd./Colonial Title & Escrow in 2002 until her
14retirement in April of 2016; along with her husband, she owned
15Alexander & Gubser Funeral Home; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Julie Alexander was a member of First Assembly of
17God Church of Jerseyville, where she spent many years as a
18Sunday school teacher; she was also involved in school
19activities with her daughters from grade school through
20college; she was active with the Jersey County Relay for Life
21and a member of the Jersey County Republican Women; and

1    WHEREAS, Julie Alexander was preceded in death by her
2parents; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, George and
3Bernice Alexander; her brothers-in-law, James, Gary, and
4Ronald Alexander; and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Alexander;
5and
 
6    WHEREAS, Julie Alexander is survived by her husband, Larry;
7her daughters, Alyssa Breann Alexander and Kari Jo Alexander;
8her special niece whom she raised as a daughter and her
9husband, Kristie and Brad Ross, and their son and Julie's
10special buddy, David Ross; her brother and his wife, Steve and
11Amanda Calvey; her brother-in-law and his wife, Floyd and Diane
12Alexander; and many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and
13nephews; therefore, be it
 
14    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
15NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
16mourn the passing of Julie Ann Alexander, and extend our
17sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew
18and loved her; and be it further
 
19    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
20presented to the family of Julie Alexander as an expression of
21our deepest sympathy.
