HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Officer
4Michael R. Flisk, who passed away on November 26, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, On November 26, 2010, the day after Thanksgiving,
6Chicago Police Officer and Evidence Technician, Officer Flisk
7was shot and killed while processing the scene of a vehicle
8burglary; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Officer Flisk left behind his wife, Nora, and
10their four children: Michael John, Timothy, Margaret (Peg), and
11Brian; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Officer Flisk came from a long line of public
13servants; his father was a firefighter and three of his
14siblings are members of the police department; this tradition
15continues with his children: Michael John is a Chicago
16Firefighter, Brian is an intern with Chicago Police Department
17while finishing his studies at Ambrose University; his
18daughter, Peg, is in her second year of studies at The John
19Marshall Law School, where she is preparing to become a
20criminal prosecutor; therefore, be it
 
21    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
2mourn the passing of Officer Michael R. Flisk, and extend our
3sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
4and loved him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Officer Flisk as an expression of
7our deepest sympathy.
