HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of David R.
4Glover, Sr., who passed away on June 6, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, David Glover, Sr. was born in Walterboro, South
6Carolina on February 7, 1957 to Clarence and Annie Ruth Glover;
7he graduated from Proviso East High School in 1975, where he
8was an outstanding athlete in football and wrestling; he
9received a full football scholarship to Drake University in Des
10Moines, Iowa, where he again flourished as a football player
11and received the Missouri Valley Conference Defensive Player
12Award; he was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity,
13Inc.; he graduated from Drake University in 1979 and later
14attended the University of Illinois at Chicago; and
 
15    WHEREAS, David Glover, Sr. worked as an educator for School
16District 209 for over 30 years, working at both Proviso East
17and Proviso West high schools; he served in the roles of
18teacher, Dean of Students, and coach; and
 
19    WHEREAS, David Glover, Sr. was preceded in death by his
20mother, Annie Ruth Glover; his sister, Joyce Richardson; and
21his brother, Gregory E. Glover; and

1    WHEREAS, David Glover, Sr. is survived by his wire,
2Veronica F. Glover; his 2 daughters, A'Shantia Glover-Wright
3and Avianca Glover; his son, David R. Glover, Jr.; his 2
4grandchildren, Anija and Bryan, Jr. "B.J."; his siblings, Brant
5(Anita) Glover, Arnold (Sylvia) Glover, Donald (Tina) Glover,
6Annette Kendall (Tom), and Ruth Faith "Faye" Glover; and a host
7of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and
8colleagues; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11mourn the passing of David R. Glover, Sr., and extend our
12sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
13and loved him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of David Glover, Sr. as an expression
16of our deepest sympathy.
