HOUSE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of 
3Representatives wish to recognize the work being done by 
4Operation Care Package; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Operation Care Package, based in Manhattan, is an 
6all volunteer not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the 
7goal of making sure that no deployed United States service 
8member goes without mail; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Operation Care Package sends out over 150 care 
10packages each week and anywhere from 3,000 to 5,000 packages 
11around Christmastime; and
  
 
12    WHEREAS, The care packages contain items that range from 
13hygiene to food, gifts, socks, phone cards, and numerous other 
14items; and
  
 
15    WHEREAS, Among those organizations that work with 
16Operation Care Package are RR Donnelly, the Girl Scouts, the 
17Boy Scouts, 4-H groups, the Will County Farm Bureau, and Coffee 
18Beanery; therefore, be it
  
 
  
19    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE 
20NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we

1recognize the work being done by Operation Care Package and we 
2thank them for their service to those of the United States 
3Military; and be it further
  
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
5presented to Operation Care Package as a symbol of our respect 
6and esteem.
