HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Lloyd
4Maday of Evanston, who passed away on February 25, 2015; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Lloyd Maday was born in Evanston on January 24,
61931; he married Kathleen McRaith in 1960; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Lloyd Maday was an entrepreneur at the young age
8of 19, opening Maday Brothers, an auto mechanic shop at the
9corner of Central Street and Broadway; together with his
10brothers, he grew the shop into an enduring local business that
11takes care of its customers to this day; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Lloyd Maday's true passion and love of his life
13was his family; he was a generous patriarch that lead by
14example and shined his light brightest with his wife and
15children and 29 grandchildren; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Lloyd Maday coached Little League, football, and
17baseball at St. Athanasius Grade School in Evanston; he also
18enjoyed mentoring young people who were interested in cars; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Lloyd Maday was preceded in death by his son, John
20Stephen Maday; his parents, Steven and Bertha Maday; his

1brothers and their spouses, Bob and Jean Maday, Steve Maday,
2Larry Maday, Ralph and Lucy Maday, and Jerry Maday; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Lloyd Maday is survived by his wife, Kathleen
4Maday; his children and their spouses, Maureen and Mike
5Frazell, Tom and Gerry Maday, Liz Brieva, Katie and Jeff
6Mohajir, Terry and Eileen Maday, Peggy and Peter Martin, and
7Billy and Adele Maday; his grandchildren, Peter, Patrick, and
8Joseph Frazell, Leo and Sophie Maday, Jena, Claire, Gabriel,
9Nathan, Tess, Leah, and Cecilia Brieva, Max, Nicholas, Andrew,
10Samuel, Kathleen, Alexander and Christopher Mohajir, Michaela,
11Kelly, Johnny and Terrence Maday, Ellie, Greta, Jesse, and
12Brendan Martin, and Brian and Abby Maday; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
14NINETY-NINTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
15mourn the passing Lloyd Maday, and extend our sincere
16condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
17him; and be it further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Lloyd Maday as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
