AMENDMENT TO HOUSE BILL 2933

2    AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend House Bill 2933 on page 7, by
3replacing lines 1 through 10 with the following:
4    "(9) There is established a 3-year pilot program that
5provides whenever the appearance in person in court is required
6of a minor held in the Mary Davis Home Juvenile Center in
7Galesburg or in the Franklin County Juvenile Detention Center
8in Benton, the court may permit the personal appearance of the
9minor to be made by means of two-way audio-visual
10communication, including closed circuit television or
11computerized video conference. The two-way audio-visual
12communication facilities must provide two-way audio-visual
13communication between the court and the place of custody or
14confinement, and must include a secure line over which the
15minor in custody and his or her counsel, may communicate. This
16paragraph (9) is inoperative on and after January 1, 2019.".
