AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 2051

AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 2051 by replacing everything after the enacting clause with the following:

“ARTICLE 1

Section 5. “AN ACT concerning appropriations”, Public Act 99-409, approved August 20, 2015, is amended by changing Section 35 of Article 16 as follows:

     (P.A. 99-409, Art. 16, Sec. 35)

    Section 35. The following named amounts, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated to the Department of Commerce and Economic Opportunity:

ILLINOIS ENERGY OFFICE

GRANTS

Payable from the DCEO Energy Projects Fund:

  For Expenses and Grants Connected with

   Energy Programs, including prior year

   costs.............................. 15,000,000 3,000,000

Payable from the Federal Energy Fund:

  For Expenses and Grants Connected with

   the State Energy Program, including

   prior year costs.............................. 3,000,000

ARTICLE 2

    Section 5. The following named sums, or so much thereof as may be necessary, respectively, are appropriated from the Education Assistance Fund to the Illinois Student Assistance Commission for the following purposes:

Grants and Scholarships

 For the payment of scholarships to students

  who are children of policemen or firemen

  killed in the line of duty, or who are

  dependents of correctional officers killed 

  or permanently disabled in the line of

  duty, as provided by law......................... 975,100

ARTICLE 3

    Section 5. The sum of $5,000,000, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is appropriated from the General Revenue Fund to the Court of Claims for payment of line of duty awards.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.”.
