SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Harris M. Kimbrough, Jr., who passed away
4on October 19, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Harris Kimbrough, Jr. was born on April 24, 1932
6in Amarillo, Texas to Harris and Jewel (nee Scales) Kimbrough,
7Sr.; he attended Yale University and the University of Texas
8before receiving his D.D.S. at Texas A&M University Baylor
9College of Dentistry; he served as a lieutenant in the United
10States Navy, where he served in the Philippines; he married
11Diane Henslee in Hankins, New York on April 24, 1977; they
12settled in Marengo in 1978; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Harris Kimbrough, Jr. practiced dentistry with a
14focus on the temporomandibular joint and nutrition; he and his
15wife led seminars in homeopathy and dentistry, including the
16Wgstd Group, Inc. group for 37 years; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Harris Kimbrough, Jr. was a member of Westminster
18Presbyterian Church in Elgin and enjoyed home improvement
19projects; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Harris Kimbrough, Jr. was preceded in death by his
21parents; his sister; and his daughter, Robin Kimbrough; and

1    WHEREAS, Harris Kimbrough, Jr. is survived by his devoted
2wife, Diane; his children Katrina (Dale) Elliott, Ned
3Kimbrough, Mike (Jeanette) Kimbrough, Kristi (Kurt)
4Scharrenberg, Cinamon Kimbrough, and Scott (Kristen)
5Kimbrough; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Harris M. Kimbrough, Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Harris Kimbrough, Jr. as an
14expression of our deepest sympathy.
