SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of William "Bill" Ferwerda of Harvard, who
4passed away on September 1, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, William Ferwerda was a member of the United States
6Navy during the Korean War; after being honorably discharged
7from the Navy, he married Joanne Crone on January 27, 1962 in
8Harvard; and
 
9    WHEREAS, William Ferwerda was employed as a carpenter and
10brick layer; and
 
11    WHEREAS, William Ferwerda was preceded in death by his
12parents, John and Helen Ferwerda; a brother, Garrett Ferwerda;
13and a niece, Judy; and
 
14    WHEREAS, William Ferwerda is survived by his beloved wife
15of 52 years, Joanne; a brother, Peter Ferwerda; a niece, Leslie
16(Don) Adkins; a sister-in-law, Pauline (Gerry) Willoughby; a
17brother-in-law, William (Susan) Crone; 15 nieces and nephews,
18Don (Val) Adkins, Boe (Kasey) Adkins, Brittany (Michael)
19Russel, Deanne (Chris) Saals, Todd (Jackie) Rankins, Rodney
20(Diana) Rankins, Sean (Lynnea) Rankins, Diane
21(Paul)Willoughby-Butorac, Todd (Megan) Crone, Ted (Mariann)

1Cadieu, Linda (John) Willoughby-Keller, David (Olga) Cadieu,

4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
6family and friends, mourn the passing of William "Bill"
7Ferwerda; and be it further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of William Ferwerda as an expression of
10our sympathy.
