SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dorothea Jeanne Marsh of Mahomet, who
4passed away on September 12, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Jeanne Marsh was born in Bunker Hill on November
68, 1924 to Lawrence and Edith (nee Whitfield) Schreier; she
7graduated from Bunker Hill High School in 1942 and attended
8Washington University in Saint Louis, Missouri; she married
9Donald R. Marsh in Bunker Hill on November 17, 1949; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Jeanne Marsh worked in her uncle Dean Link's drug
11store in Saint Louis; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Jeanne Marsh had a lifelong love of libraries and
13books, and served as a volunteer on the Bunker Hill Library
14Board for 40 years; she enjoyed sewing, growing houseplants,
15and traveling, especially her recent autumn trips to Vermont;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Jeanne Marsh was preceded in death by her husband
18of 62 years, Donald, and her parents; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Jeanne Marsh is survived by her 2 children, J.L.
20(Haven) Marsh and Lisa (Mark) Alan, and her 3 grandchildren,

1Lian Alan, Tara Alan (Tyler Kellen), and David Marsh;
2therefore, be it
 
3    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
4ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
5Dorothea Jeanne Marsh, and extend our sincere condolences to
6her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
7further
 
8    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
9presented to the family of Jeanne Marsh as an expression of our
10deepest sympathy.
