SENATE RESOLUTION

  
 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to 
3learn of the death of  Frances J. "Fran" Sliva of Marengo, who 
4passed away on June 17, 2014; and
  
 
5    WHEREAS, Frances Sliva was born on March 7, 1939 in 
6Chicago; she married Lou Sliva on November 11, 1972; and
  
 
7    WHEREAS, Frances Sliva worked as a bookkeeper for JT Screw 
8Machine in Melrose Park for 30 years until her retirement; and
  
 
9    WHEREAS, Frances Sliva was an avid golfer; she also loved 
10movies, dancing, and laughing with her kids; and
  
 
11    WHEREAS, Frances Sliva is preceded in death by her mother, 
12Mildred; an aunt, Elsie; and a sister, Norma; and
  
 
13    WHEREAS, Frances Sliva is survived by her husband, Lou; 4 
14children, Edward (Bobbie) Palakie, Ronald (Annie) Palakie, 
15William (Karen) Palakie, and Cathy (Edward) Johns; 10 
16grandchildren, Eddie, Christopher, Tommy, David, Kristen, 
17Samantha, Rhiannon, Jordon, Meghan, and Erik; 3 
18great-grandchildren, Angelica, Sakura, and Amalina; and a 
19sister, Florence (Richard) Duncan; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL 
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her 
3family and friends, mourn the passing of Frances J. "Fran" 
4Sliva; and be it further
  
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be 
6presented to the family of Frances Sliva as an expression of 
7our sympathy.
