SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Louis A. Ciuffini of Lockport, who passed
4away on May 16, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Louis Ciuffini was born in Joliet and was a
6lifelong Lockport resident; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Louis Ciuffini served in the Civilian
8Conservation Corps; he also served in the United States Navy
9during World War II; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Louis Ciuffini was the owner and operator of
11Ciuffini Trucking for many years until his retirement in 1985;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Louis Ciuffini was a member of St. John Vianney
14Church, Joliet Veterans of Foreign Wars Stone City Post #2199,
15Lockport American Legion John Olson Post #18, the Fairmont Rod
16and Gun Club, the Joliet East Side Athletic Club, the Belmont
17Athletic Club, and the American-Italian Cultural Society; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Louis Ciuffini was preceded in death by his loving
19wife, Fern (nee Bell); his parents, Uldirico and Mary (nee Di
20Domenic); 3 sisters, Frances, Julia, and Minnie; and 3

1brothers, Ernie, Benjamin, and Orlando; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Louis Ciuffini is survived by his devoted
3children, Louis (Kimberly), Steven (Korina), Marsha (Steven)
4Gravley, Sr. Jean Marie Ciuffini, OSF, and Anna (Monte) Sande;
513 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces,
6nephews, and friends; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
9family and friends, mourn the passing of Louis A. Ciuffini; and
10be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Louis Ciuffini as an expression of
13our sympathy.
