SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Kenneth William Oestermeyer of Burr
4Ridge, who passed away on March 27, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer was born in 1946 to Helen and
6Walter Oestermeyer and grew up on the South Side of Chicago; in
71967, he earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
8from Valparaiso University and married Cheryl Roth, settling in
9Evanston; they eventually moved to Hinsdale; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer owned an industrial valve
11actuation business in the western suburbs for more than 30
12years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer enjoyed golfing, playing gin,
14shark fishing, and watching televised sports; he also enjoyed
15making memories on family trips; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Kenneth Oestermeyer is survived by his wife of 46
17years, Cheryl; his son, Jon (Sarah); his daughters, Suzanne
18(Paul) Galdun and Alexis (Sergio) Oneca; his brother, David
19(Loretta); his 7 grandchildren, Jacob, Sophia, and Luke
20Oestermeyer, Harrison and Emilia Galdun, and Cohen and Tobias
21Oneca; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
3Kenneth William Oestermeyer, and extend our sincere
4condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
5him; and be it further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Kenneth Oestermeyer as an expression
8of our deepest sympathy.
