SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Frances L. Behrens of Hebron, who passed
4away on March 24, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens was born on September 3, 1923 in
6Alden; her parents were Elmer and Olive (nee Fink) Bottlemy;
7she married Melvin Behrens on February 26, 1943 in Hebron; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens graduated salutatorian from Alden
9High School; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens and her husband farmed in the
11Alden-Hebron area for several years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens enjoyed watching sports,
13particularly the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and Bulls; she also
14enjoyed dancing, playing cards, bingo, and spending time with
15her family and friends; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens was a member of Alden United
17Methodist Church and the Merry-Go-Round Club; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens was preceded in death by her
19daughter, Barbara; her husband, Melvin; her parents; and her

1brothers, Harold, Elmer, and Warren Bottlemy; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Frances Behrens is survived by her sons, James
3(Marsha) Behrens, Jerry (Muriel) Behrens, and Dennis Behrens;
4her grandchildren, Kathy (Jeff) Strogen, Tige Oleksy, Sarah
5(Jay) Lemon, Joe Behrens, Carrie (Carl) Gose, and Buddy
6(Amanda) Kile; her great-grandchildren, Zach and Cadence; her
7sisters, Lois Norgard and Grace Wissell; and her
8sisters-in-law, Jane Bottlemy, Betty Bottlemy, Joanne
9Bottlemy, and Evelyn Pratt; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her
12family and friends, mourn the passing of Frances L. Behrens;
13and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Frances Behrens as an expression of
16our sympathy.
