SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene Paul "Spud" Payne, Jr. of
4Waukegan, who passed away on March 21, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Payne, Jr. was born in Waukegan on March
620, 1955 to Eugene and Frances (nee Thomas) Payne; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Eugene Payne, Jr. worked as a security safety
8officer with the Waukegan Public School District, Brookside
9Campus; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eugene Payne, Jr. wore various hats at the Sunset
11Bowl and actively coached youth bowling and softball in the
12Lake County area; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Eugene Payne, Jr. is survived by his parents; his
14sons, Lenzelle (Teshela) Smith and Eugene Payne, III; his
15daughter, Jazmin Payne; his grandchildren, Lenzelle Smith, Jr.
16and Caelin Payne; his siblings, Sharon (Kevin) Barnes, Eugenia
17Lindsey, Shawn Payne, and Franita (Sylvester, Jr.) Handy; and a
18host of nephews, nieces, cousins, uncles, aunts, other
19relatives, and dear friends; therefore, be it
 
20    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL

1ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2Eugene Paul "Spud" Payne, Jr., and extend our sincere
3condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
4him; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Eugene Payne, Jr. as an expression
7of our deepest sympathy.
