SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Walter Pupich, who passed away on March
43, 2014; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Walter Pupich was born on August 3, 1936; his
6parents were Risto and Julia Pupich; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Walter Pupich was employed for many years behind
8the pharmacy counter at Braun Drugs and later Osco Pharmacy; he
9also served as School Board President of Huntley School
10District #158; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Walter Pupich was a dedicated member of the First
12United Methodist Church and was integral in the planning and
13execution of numerous church projects; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Walter Pupich will be remembered fondly for his
15great dignity, gentleness, and unending kindness; sitting on
16his desk at the time of his passing was his life motto, words
17by Francis of Assisi: "Preach the gospel at all times. If
18necessary, use words."; he accomplished this task even in the
19most difficult of times; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Walter Pupich is survived by his wife, June F.

1Pupich; his children, Sharon (Dean), Chris (Linda), Holly
2(Dan), and Tanya (Kip); his 10 grandchildren; and his siblings
3and their spouses, Bill and Mary Pupich, Lou and Marie Pupich,
4and Jan and Michael Schwartz; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with his
7family and friends, mourn the passing of Walter Pupich; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Walter Pupich as an expression of
11our sympathy.
