SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Norma Mildred Lesh, who passed away on
4April 24, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Norma Lesh lived in Joliet her entire life and was
6educated in the Joliet schools for grade school, high school,
7and junior college; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Norma Lesh helped to manage and work in the family
9business, Burns Coal Company, from the 1930s through the early
101960s; she later continued to work in the bookkeeping and
11accounting fields through her employment with Kmart, Joseph
12Rosich Accounting and Tax Services, and Gassensmith and
13McCarthy CPA Accounting firms; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Norma Lesh was an active member of First and Santa
15Cruz Lutheran Church and Faith Lutheran Church for many years;
16and
 
17    WHEREAS, Norma Lesh enjoyed many social and philanthropic
18clubs and activities, most currently WELCA at First Lutheran
19Church and the Joliet Woman's Club; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Norma Lesh was preceded in death by her husband,

1Frank W. Lesh, and her parents, Joseph and Dorian Braun Burns;
2and
 
3    WHEREAS, Norma Lesh was the beloved mother of Doreen
4(Robert B.) Swanson, Frank E. (Janice) Lesh, and John T.
5(Charlotte) Lesh; the fond grandmother of Jennifer (Todd)
6Kimrey, Matthew Lesh, Catherine Lesh, and Anna Lesh; and the
7special great-grandmother of Rachel, Noah, Lonna, and Soleil;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11her family and friends, the passing of Norma Mildred Lesh; and
12be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Norma Lesh as an expression of our
15sympathy.
