SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Donald J. Campagna of Alton, who passed
4away on April 26, 2013; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Donald Campagna was born on November 25, 1937, in
6Alton; his parents were Joseph Anthony and Elizabeth Campagna
7and his step-mother was Virginia Campagna; he married the
8former Marilyn J. Heffron on December 22, 1962, in Godfrey; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Donald Campagna served his country with pride as a
10member of the United States Army; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Donald Campagna retired as an estimator at
12McDonnell Douglas in 1997 after many years of service; he also
13served as a manager at Alton Motorcycle Sales; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Donald Campagna was a member of St. Mary's
15Catholic Church in Alton; he was also a member of the
16Alton-Wood River Sportsman's Club, the Alton Eagles Foe No.
17254, and the Alton Moose Lodge; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Donald Campagna was preceded in death by his
19parents and his granddaughter, Alexis Campagna Hawkins; and

1    WHEREAS, Donald Campagna is survived by his wife, Marilyn;
2his daughters, Angie Goska (Mike), Georgia Hawkins (Robert),
3and Kate Miller (Travis); his grandchildren, Andrew, Adam, and
4Alex Goska, Emily and Hannah Hawkins, and Delaney, Jesse, and
5Colton Miller; his brother, Bill Campagna; his half-brother,
6Patrick McClain; his stepbrother, Mike McClain; and his
7stepsisters, Eileen Karon Carman, Patty McClain-Evans, and
8Kathy McClain-Glynn; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
11his family and friends, the passing of Donald J. Campagna; and
12be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Donald Campagna as an expression of
15our sympathy.
