| 1 | AMENDMENT TO SENATE BILL 1538

| 2 | AMENDMENT NO. ______. Amend Senate Bill 1538 by replacing | ||||||
| 3 | everything after the enacting clause with the following:

| 4 | "Section 5. The Fish and Aquatic Life Code is amended by | ||||||
| 5 | changing Section 10-110 as follows:
| ||||||
| 6 | (515 ILCS 5/10-110) (from Ch. 56, par. 10-110)
| ||||||
| 7 | Sec. 10-110. Taking carp, buffalo, suckers, gar, bowfin, | ||||||
| 8 | shad, and drum. Carp,
buffalo, suckers, gar, bowfin, shad, and | ||||||
| 9 | drum may be taken by means of a pitchfork,
underwater spear | ||||||
| 10 | gun, bow and arrow or bow and arrow device, including a sling | ||||||
| 11 | shot bow, spear, or gig.
Each person taking fish by these means | ||||||
| 12 | shall possess a valid sport fishing
license. Fish taken by | ||||||
| 13 | these means shall not be sold or bartered. No other
fish may be | ||||||
| 14 | taken in this State by these means.
