2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of |
3 | | Representatives are pleased to honor our friend and colleague, |
4 | | Illinois State Representative Pam Roth, for her years of |
5 | | dedicated service to the people of the State of Illinois; and
|
6 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth was born in Washington, |
7 | | Iowa; she grew up embracing the old-fashioned values of hard |
8 | | work and community service embodied in the farming community in |
9 | | which she was raised; and
|
10 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth earned her degree in |
11 | | business administration and accounting from the University of |
12 | | Nevada in 1997; and
|
13 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth enjoyed a successful |
14 | | career in the business and accounting industry as a Certified |
15 | | Public Accountant in both the public and private sectors for 12 |
16 | | years; and
|
17 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth served as a senior |
18 | | financial analyst for a nuclear power facility in Morris; and
|
19 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth and her husband, Steve |
20 | | Roth, are the parents of 2 boys, Jared and Jacob; and
|

1 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth was elected to the Board |
2 | | of Education for Saratoga School District 60C in April of 2007 |
3 | | and served as Board President from 2009 to 2011; and
|
4 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth was involved as a |
5 | | volunteer for the Morris Rotary Club, the Morris Warriors |
6 | | Football organization, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and Cub |
7 | | Scout Pack 476 as the Committee Chair; and |
8 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth was appointed to the |
9 | | Illinois House of Representatives in December of 2010 and |
10 | | re-elected in 2012; and
|
11 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth honorably represented the |
12 | | people of Grundy, LaSalle, Will, Kendall, Kankakee, and |
13 | | Iroquois counties; and
|
14 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth served with distinction |
15 | | on the Appropriations - Human Services, Elementary and |
16 | | Secondary Education, Insurance, Energy, Business Growth and |
17 | | Incentives, and Consumer Protection Committees; and
|
18 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth is a graduate of the |
19 | | inaugural class of Edgar Leadership Fellows and was one of only |
20 | | 3 Illinoisans chosen for the Bowhay Institute for Legislative |

1 | | Leadership Development program; and |
2 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth has been a leader in the |
3 | | General Assembly on the fight to recognize dyslexia as a true |
4 | | problem affecting many children and adults; and
|
5 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth placed the health and |
6 | | wellness of her constituents at the forefront of her priorities |
7 | | by hosting annual senior wellness fairs, as well as children's |
8 | | fairs that focused on safety and education; and |
9 | | WHEREAS, Representative Pam Roth has been a strong voice |
10 | | for fiscal responsibility, consistently voting to slash her own |
11 | | pay and by working to balance the budget while holding the line |
12 | | on taxes to protect the citizens of Illinois; and |
13 | | WHEREAS, During her 3 years in the Illinois House of |
14 | | Representatives, Representative Pam Roth served as the Chief |
15 | | Sponsor of more than 45 Public Acts and as a co-sponsor for |
16 | | many other Public Acts; therefore, be it

17 | | RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE |
18 | | NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that |
19 | | we honor our friend and colleague Illinois State Representative |
20 | | Pam Roth for her years of dedicated service to the people of |
21 | | this State and wish her great success and happiness in her |
