SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James "Jim" Pesoli, who passed away on
4September 13, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, In 1989, James Pesoli founded Icon Electrical
6Contractors, Inc., a commercial contracting company that has
7developed countless buildings and communities throughout Cook
8County and the surrounding counties; as an electrician by
9trade, he had a passion for creating something that could be
10appreciated throughout time; and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Pesoli was a four-time cancer survivor who
12never stopped smiling through his life; in 1985, he founded
13Kids Fight Cancer, a non-profit organization dedicated to
14improving the lives of children and families afflicted with
15cancer; over the years, he was nicknamed "The Fairy Godfather";
16countless friends, colleagues, and members of the public
17throughout the United States believed in his passion, his
18motivation, the charity's mission, and his message to
19"Celebrate Life"; and
 
20    WHEREAS, James Pesoli is survived by his high school
21sweetheart and wife of 34 years, Susan Pesoli; his sons, Jim
22Pesoli, Esq. and Joe Pesoli; his daughter-in-law Michelle

1Pesoli; his grandchildren, Dominic James Pesoli and Luciana
2Grace Pesoli; his parents, James and Angeline "Babe" Pesoli;
3his sisters, AnnMarie Bartee and Patricia Masini; his
4brothers-in-law, Craig Toblesky, Robert Bartee, and John
5Masini; his nieces and nephews, John, Shannon, Anthony,
6Jennifer, Bob, Vanessa, Bryan, Jessica, and Aleksa; and his
7grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Marissa, Monica, Isabella,
8Jack, Joe, Alyssa, Gianna, Lauren, Charlie, and Danny;
9therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12his family and friends, the passing of James "Jim" Pesoli; and
13be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of James Pesoli as an expression of our
16sympathy.
