SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joliet Police Officer James B. "Geta"
4Dietz of Joliet, who passed away on February 22, 2011; and
 
5    WHEREAS, He was born in Chicago and raised in Bolingbrook
6and was a Joliet resident for the past 16 years; and
 
7    WHEREAS, He was a dedicated City of Joliet Police Officer
8for the past 16 years; and
 
9    WHEREAS, He loved spending time with his family and
10friends, especially when he had the chance to go fishing or
11bowling; and
 
12    WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his mother, Joanne
13Dietz; and his brother, David Dietz; and
 
14    WHEREAS, James Dietz is survived by his beloved fiancee,
15Jessie Reiter; his father, Charles Dietz; his brothers, Charles
16(Joanie) Dietz and Michael Dietz; his sisters, Lorie (David)
17Barrett, Susan (Christopher) Martens, and Tracy (Luke) Capocy;
18his numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his faithful canine
19companion, Duke; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3his family, friends, and the citizens of Joliet, the passing of
4Officer James Dietz; and be it further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Officer James B. "Geta" Dietz as a
7symbol of our sincere sympathy.
