HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives wish to congratulate Greg Muller on the
4occasion of his retirement as First Deputy Director with the
5Illinois State Police on December 31, 2012; and
 
6    WHEREAS, Greg Muller began his career with the Illinois
7State Police on April 13, 1987, when he was appointed to Cadet
8Class #81; upon his graduation on August 14, 1987, he was
9assigned to District 9 in Springfield; on June 16, 1996, he
10transferred from District 9 to the Division of Administration's
11Logistics Bureau; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Greg Muller steadily ascended the ranks of the
13Illinois State Police throughout his career; on November 16,
141996, he was promoted from trooper to sergeant; on March 20,
151998, he was promoted to the rank of master sergeant; on
16October 1, 2002, he was promoted to the rank of lieutenant; on
17September 1, 2006, he was promoted to the rank of captain; on
18January 1, 2007, he was appointed to the position of Deputy
19Director of the Division of Administration; on May 6, 2011, he
20was appointed to the position of Colonel of the Division of
21Internal Investigation; on January 1, 2012, he was appointed as
22the First Deputy Director by ISP Director Hiram Grau; and

1    WHEREAS, Greg Muller serves his community as a member of
2the Athens Community Unit School District #213 School Board and
3will serve as president of the school board in 2013; and
 
4    WHEREAS, Greg Muller and his wife, Dawn, have one son,
5Grant (Erin), and 2 daughters, Courtney and Haley; therefore,
6be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we congratulate Greg Muller on the occasion of his retirement
10and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and
11be it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to Greg Muller as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
