HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4Joliet Junior College Wolves baseball team on the occasion of
5winning the NJCAA Division III World Series national
6championship; and
 
7    WHEREAS, The Joliet Junior College Wolves defeated Niagara
8County Community College 6-5 to secure victory at the NJCAA
9Division III World Series national championship on May 24,
102012; the team ended the season with a phenomenal 37-29 record
11and went 4-0 during the World Series; and
 
12    WHEREAS, The Joliet Junior College Wolves' victory marks
13the third time in the program's history that the Wolves have
14claimed a national championship; and
 
15    WHEREAS, The members of the Joliet Junior College Wolves
16are Cole Judy, Cody Krilich, Mike Hamilton, Casey Papp, Alex
17Parks, Trey Russell, Jonathan Rosario, Jared Steck, Nick
18Filleti, Nick Gould, Tim Blaha, Dakota Brown, Luke Andrade,
19Kaleb Strothman, Colin Hart, Sam O'Shea, Jake Keefe, Garret
20Rhodes, Dominic Olszta, Trevor Vermillion, Austin Vazquez, Dan
21Eliopulos, Tyler Willis, Rick Gazarek, and AJ Woynerowski; the
22team's head coach and Director of Athletics is Wayne L. King,

1Jr. and the assistant coaches are Gregg Braun, Mark Marino,
2Randall Rivera, Shaun Thomas, Tyler Thompson, and Thomas
3Alessio; and
 
4    WHEREAS, The members of the Joliet Junior College Wolves
5serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication for the
6people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
8NINETY-SEVENTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
9we congratulate the members of the Joliet Junior College Wolves
10baseball team on the occasion of winning the NJCAA Division III
11World Series national championship and wish them continued
12success and happiness in the future; and be it further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the Joliet Junior College Wolves baseball team as
15a symbol of our esteem and respect.
