305 ILCS 5/5-5.20

    Amends the Medical Assistance Article of the Illinois Public Aid Code. Provides that "federally qualified health center" also means a health care practitioner in an individual or group practice as set forth under the federal Social Security Act. Effective July 1, 2012.

1    AN ACT concerning public aid.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Public Aid Code is amended by
5changing Section 5-5.20 as follows:
 
6    (305 ILCS 5/5-5.20)
7    Sec. 5-5.20. Clinic payments. For services provided by
8federally qualified health centers as defined in Section 1905
9(l)(2)(B) of the federal Social Security Act, on or after April
101, 1989, and as long as required by federal law, the Illinois
11Department shall reimburse those health centers for those
12services according to a prospective cost-reimbursement
13methodology. For purposes of this Section, "federally
14qualified health center" also means a health care practitioner
15in an individual or group practice as set forth in Section
161902(a)(37) of the federal Social Security Act.

18    Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
