    Amends the Illinois Act on the Aging. Makes a technical change in a Section concerning the purposes of the Act.

1    AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2    Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3represented in the General Assembly:
 
4    Section 5. The Illinois Act on the Aging is amended by
5changing Section 2 as follows:
 
6    (20 ILCS 105/2)  (from Ch. 23, par. 6102)
7    Sec. 2.
8    The The ability of the constantly increasing number of aged
9in the State to maintain self-sufficiency and personal
10well-being with the dignity to which their years of labor
11entitle them and to realize their maximum potential as creative
12and productive individuals are matters of profound import and
13concern for all of the people of this State.
14    The purposes of this Act are to provide a comprehensive and
15coordinated service system for the State's aging population,
16giving high priority to those persons in greatest need; to
17conduct studies and research into the needs and problems of the
18aging; and to insure participation by the aging in the planning
19and operation of all phases of the system.
