SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James W. Goodall, who passed away on
4October 30, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Goodall was born in Odin on April 26, 1936;
6he was the son of Marjorie Bundy Goodall and the late Wallace
7Goodall; and
 
8    WHEREAS, James Goodall attended Western Kentucky
9University on a basketball scholarship and graduated from
10Southern Illinois University in Carbondale; he subsequently
11taught and coached varsity basketball at Coulterville High
12School for 2 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, James Goodall served as Vice President of Foam
14Fabricators until his retirement in 2003 after 35 years of
15service; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Goodall was a member of the Asbury United
17Methodist Church; he was also a member of the Board of
18Directors of the Kahwka Club and the Society of Plastics
19Engineers; and
 
20    WHEREAS, James Goodall is survived by his wife of 51 years,

1Maggi Goodall; his daughters, Suzi Norris and her husband,
2Jeff, and Carolyn Sabolcik and her husband, Mark; his
3grandchildren, Jennifer and Rachel Norris and Matthew,
4Michael, and Katie Sabolcik; his mother, Marjorie Goodall; his
5brother, Ron "Burr" Goodall and his wife, Lou; his sister,
6Joyce Risinger and her husband, Illinois State Senator Dale
7Risinger; and his many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10his family and friends, the passing of James W. Goodall; and be
11it further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of James Goodall as an expression of
14our sympathy.
