SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Linda L. Glover of Island Lake, who
4passed away on November 22, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born on February 23, 1948, in Chicago, to
6Edward and Helen (Gawlowski) Gallas; and
 
7    WHEREAS, She was recognized for being the first woman
8postal carrier in McHenry County while working through college;
9she then earned her bachelor's degree from Elmhurst College and
10her master's degree from Rosary College; and
 
11    WHEREAS, She taught English at Army Trail High School in
12Addison and then dedicated over 25 years as a librarian at
13Harper College, retiring in 2007; she was an avid reader and
14had a passion for baking cakes for family and friends; and
 
15    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; her
16brother and sister-in-law, Edward (Patricia) Gallas Jr.; and
17her sister, Marlene Lundborg; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Linda Glover is survived by her daughter, Kristin
19Glover; her granddaughter, Ella Lee Glover-Taylor; her
20sisters, Joan (Joseph) Passanante, Phyllis (George) Pugh, and

1Judy Gallas; and her many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
2    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
3ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
4her family and friends, the passing of Linda Glover; and be it
5further
 
6    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
7presented to the family of Linda Glover as a symbol of our
8sincere sympathy.
