SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Robert William Manner, who passed away on
4August 26, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Robert Manner was born on July 3, 1948, in Joliet;
6he was a lifelong resident of Joliet; he graduated from Joliet
7West High School in 1966; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Robert Manner was employed as a hair stylist in
9Joliet for 40 years and was the former owner of Mr. Robert's
10and Manner Magic; he was employed at Apropos and Brown and
11Brown at the time of his passing; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Robert Manner was a member of the Elk's Club; he
13enjoyed biking, gardening, and meeting people; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Robert Manner was preceded in death by his sister,
15Sue Manner Turk; his parents, Mary and William Manner; and his
16many aunts and uncles, including George H. Dwyer and R. Patrick
17Dwyer; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Robert Manner is survived by his loving wife and
19best friend of 35 years, Julie Woodruff Kitchell Manner; his
20devoted children, Kurt (Sharon) Kitchell, Glenn (Lora)

2caring brother, John (Susanne) Manner; his niece, Stephanie

5Kitchell, Ashley Chandler, Kristin, Kimberly, and Kevin
6Kitchell, Sara and John Novak, and Caitlin, Hannah, and Mason
7Kitchell; his great-nieces and great-nephews, J.C., Hayden,
8Cordelia, Cormac, and Declan; his sister-in-law, Janet
9Woodruff; his brother-in-law, Frank Turk; and his great friend
10and second mother, Jacquelyn Hickey; therefore, be it
 
11    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
12ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
13his family and friends, the passing of Robert William Manner;
14and be it further
 
15    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16presented to the family of Robert Manner as an expression of
17our sympathy.
