SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Clinton F. Kimbro of Hillsboro, who
4passed away on October 24, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Clinton F. Kimbro was born on September 25, 1924
6in Taylor Springs; his parents were George R. and Mary A.
7(Elmore) Kimbro, who both preceded him in death; and
 
8    WHEREAS, He served the community for 35 years with local
9delivery of petroleum and served as Montgomery County Clerk for
1016 years; he retired in late 1998; he graduated from Hillsboro
11High School, class of 1941; and
 
12    WHEREAS, He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in
13Hillsboro, Mt. Moriah Masonic Lodge #51 AF & AM in Hillsboro,
14V.F.W. Post #1306 in Taylor Springs, and Hillsboro Moose Lodge
15#1377; he was a veteran of World War II with the Army Air Corp
16from 1943 to 1945; he was a B17 gunner who served in Normandy,
17Northern France Ardennes, Rhineland; he earned 4 Bronze Stars,
18a Good Conduct Air Medal, 3 Bronze Clusters, and 1 0/s Bar; and
 
19    WHEREAS, He married Vivian M. Havron on July 14, 1946 at
20the Presbyterian parsonage in Hillsboro; she preceded him in
21death on October 7, 1990; his son, Robert L. Kimbro, preceded

1him in death; and his siblings, Euris Kimbro, Dorothy Elam, and
2Lila Austin also preceded him in death; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Clinton Kimbro is survived by his daughter, Judith
4K. Wineburner; his daughter-in-law, Bev Smith; his
5grandchildren, Bonnie (husband Eric) White, Brandon (wife
6Michelle) Kimbro, Robert McMillan, and Elizabeth Wineburner;
7his great-grandchildren, Zach, Dillon, and Keragan White,
8Aliah and Zade Kimbro; and by his sister, Mary Von; his special
9friend, Rosemary Hotz, also survives him; therefore, be it
 
10    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
11ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
12his family and friends, the passing of Clinton Kimbro; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Clinton Kimbro as a symbol of our
16sincere sympathy.
