SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Wilma J. Cox of Plainview, who passed
4away on September 8, 2010; and
 
5    WHEREAS, She was born in Shipman, on April 21, 1940, to
6Herman C. and Susie A. (Eddington) Kahl; on February 22, 1969,
7she married Gerald A. Cox in Shipman; and
 
8    WHEREAS, She served with the Macoupin County Treasurer's
9Office from 1958 until retiring in 2006, serving as Treasurer
10from 1994 until 2006, and was a member of the Women of the
11Moose in Carlinville, the Democratic Women of Macoupin County,
12and Zion Lutheran Church in Shipman; and
 
13    WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents; and her
14three sisters, Arlene Stampe, Lucille Carr, and Norma Kahl; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Wilma Cox is survived by her husband, Gerald; her
16daughters and sons-in-law, Jodi and Don Simons and Lisa and
17Barry Reno; her son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Angie Cox;
18her seven grandchildren, Garrett and Amanda Cox, Benjamin and
19Joseph Reno, and Colton, Zachary, and Conner Simons; and her
20sisters, Iola Prather and Alice Randolph; therefore, be it

1    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-SIXTH GENERAL
2ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
3her family and friends, the passing of Wilma Cox; and be it
4further
 
5    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6presented to the family of Wilma Cox as a symbol of our sincere
7sympathy.
